Position Description and Responsibilities:

This is a key position at our client’s non-union flagship plant, reporting directly to the division’s Director of Quality. This position will require an experienced Lean Six Sigma Quality Engineer, preferably with a high tolerance, precision machining process and product background. This position requires a quality engineer that is able to facilitate and drive process and product continuous improvement, leveraging his/her strong interpersonal and technical skills. Key to success in this position is the ability to leverage Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvements in both the plant’s products and processes.

  • This role will lead activities within the Lean Six Sigma process improvement initiative that will include, Black and green Belt development, project implementation and cultural change.
  • This role will establish and maintain statistical process control procedures and alert management of trends or variances outside established limits which require corrective action.
  • This role will develop Lean Six Sigma based FEMA and quality plans for inspection, test, and evaluation of materials, processes and products.
  • This role will have responsibility for planning and assisting in the execution of various Lean Six Sigma transformation events targeted towards improving the business’s performance on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • This role will devise statistically sound Lean Six Sigma sampling procedures and implement systems for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • This role will participate and interact with company departments, suppliers and customers on matters related to materials, processes or products which affect product quality and reliability objectives.
  • This role will focus on business performance improvements that yield zero accidents, defect free products, on demand and on time delivery, at the lowest cost.
  • This role will focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.


Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Technical Behavioral Requirements:

  • BS Technical Engineering Degree
  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) ASQ certification
  • Working knowledge of quality tools (DOE, SPC, FEMA, 8D, etc.)
  • Ability to understand & implement ISO & Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Five+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Additional certification as either a Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

Position Description and Responsibilities:

Our client is looking for candidates who demonstrate the ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, high growth environment within the IT Services process improvement consulting vertical while also supporting the firms other verticals when called upon. Our client’s organization includes business analysts, functional consultants, and technical integration consultants who work together to implement Lean and Six Sigma process improvement solutions at customer sites. Our client’s consultants are expected to spend the majority of their time on site with the client business and technical teams. Our client employs a flexible travel model that requires consultants to be on site four days per week. Our client’s consultants work the fifth day from their home office.

  • Serve as our client’s lead authority on the application of Lean and TPS concepts (Toyota Production System) and methodologies into their IT consulting vertical.
  • Develop and supply customized Lean training courses and consulting on-demand to serve both external clients and internal teams.
  • Provide Lean software development coaching and training to client functional managers, and executives.
  • Work with client customers to expand the understanding and practice of Lean software development and Agile principles through client organizations to include software and data center operations teams alike.
  • Collaborate with client teams to coach and mentor them on the mechanics of Lean and Agile methods to achieve optimal team effectiveness.
  • Coach individual client teams in all aspects of Lean and TPS methodologies.
  • Work directly with client teams to identify and mitigate enterprise-wide systemic obstacles that block their ability to achieve sustainable increases in productivity.
  • Work with client teams to advise and influence the development and training of internal Lean tools to enhance team collaboration.



Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Technical Behavioral Requirements:

  • BS Business / Technical Degree
  • Lean and /or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Lean and/or Six Sigma principles including delivery methodologies
  • 3+ year of progressively responsible experience in a technical project management and/or Lean Agile coaching position.
  • Agile coaching experience with methods such as XP, Scrum and Lean.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean and Agile principles and practices at multiple levels within an organization, including Lean and Agile leadership skills at a senior level.
  • Experience with XP practices, user story development, life cycle management and release planning.
  • Prior experience in consulting and leading technical teams in adopting and upgrading Lean and Agile technologies.
  • Certified Scrum Practitioner/ScrumMaster preferred
  • Prior experience in data center management and leadership preferred.

  • This position will provide support, coaching, and development of the Plant Value Stream Managers.
