Position Description and Responsibilities:
This is a key leadership position, reporting directly to the Divisional VP of Operations. This position will require an experienced Lean leader, preferably with heavy industry manufacturing background and experience.   • This position will focus on business performance improvements that yield zero accidents, defect free products, on demand and on time delivery, at the lowest cost by partnering with Process Owners and Champions to drive overall results.

Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Technical Behavioral Requirements:

  • BS Technical Engineering Degree
  • 5 years of process improvement experience in a unionized heavy manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years experience leading and executing process improvement projects in a dedicated Lean position.
  • Formal Lean training and experience leveraging Value Stream Management tools, A3 , kaizen methods, standardized work, SMED, TPM and other key Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Experience as the leader of value stream improvement projects that demonstrate the ability to reduce waste and improve cycle times from incoming raw materials to finished goods shipping.
  • Prior exposure to a Lean Sensei mentor as part of development and Lean training
  • Metals processing experience / background a plus
  • Prior Value Stream operations/process leadership experience as a plant manager or in a significant operations role.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt a plus

  • This role will provide project, Lean Six Sigma methodology, and tool support to a full team of regional dedicated Black Belts and operational embedded Green Belts who drive projects in their core functional areas.
  • This role will facilitate meetings with regional senior leadership to review and examine project progress.
  • This role will provide Lean and Six Sigma training to local personnel and leadership within the region.
  • This role will be responsible for seeking out project opportunities for Six Sigma and Lean breakthrough strategy both internal and external (e.g. to suppliers and customers).
  • This role will be responsible for promoting the use of Lean Six Sigma methodology across the entire region.
  • This role will deliver significant and quantifiable process improvement and financial benefit across the region.
  • This role will focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of Lean Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • This role will manage Lean Six Sigma reporting activities for the region internally and to Corporate.
  • This role will develop partnerships with other Lean Six Sigma Leaders across the division to share best practices.
  • This role will drive the region’s use and adoption of such Lean methods as Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen to help transform the regions performance on service delivery and productivity performance.


Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Technical Behavioral Requirements:

  • BS Degree, Business Management or Technical
  • 5-10 years professional work experience
  • Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification
  • DMAIC project experience across broad functional areas in a services based business environment
  • Formal Lean training and experience leveraging Value Stream Management tools, kaizen methods and other key Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with facilitating VSM and Kaizen events
  • Experience training and mentoring Black Belts, Green Belts and executive champions
  • DFSS background a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma project leadership experience / background
  • Ability to travel 40%+ in week regional travel

This position will require a candidate with solid business development / sales experience and service industry background. Preference will be given to candidates with a business development background selling services into the Healthcare industry (provider and /or payer). Key to success in this role requires a candidate that is motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced entrepreneurial growth focused environment.


This position will be responsible for driving the firm’s business development efforts and be tasked with working closely with the firm’s CEO and healthcare segment Managing Director who has responsibility for consulting engagements in the firm’s healthcare market vertical.

  • This role will be responsible for prospecting and developing leads for Lean Six Sigma business consulting services predominately in North America, however could include potential clients in other global locations.
  • This role will responsible for the preparation and delivery sales proposals to prospective customers and clients.
  • This position will be responsible for driving contract negotiations and closing sales agreement with new and existing healthcare clients
  • This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, building new customer relationships and strengthening relationships with decision makers in existing client accounts.
  • This position will work closely with the firms Healthcare Managing Director in order to develop targeted white papers, promotional items and other marketing materials to promote the firms presence in the healthcare market.
